Ledesma & Rodríguez Rivero law firm specialized in Constitutional Law, Amparo Proceedings, Economic Competition and Federal, State and Municipal Administrative Law, both on consulting and litigation.
The firm is designed as a a small boutique firm that offers a personalized service, tailored solutions regarding the particular needs of each case and a high degree of analysis of the issues. Our philosophy is based on the importance of establishing a close relationship and close cooperation with our clients to achieve a genuine integration between them and our team of lawyers, for deepen understanding of their interests and concerns.

Originally the firm was led by Luis Manuel Rodríguez Rivero and Juan Manuel Cossío Locken, in August 2014 it went through a process of expansion and growth, resulting in the addition of talent with proven experience. To this day Bernardo Ledesma Uribe and Claudia De los Ríos Olascoaga, experts in the subject areas of the firm, have joined the team.

Given the experience in the field of Competition Law, Ledesma & Rodríguez Rivero has participated in various working groups with other lawyers and experts in the field, and even with working groups of the Federal Competition Commission and in the opinion of several amendments to the Federal Law on Economic Competition (Mexican Antitrust Law) and Regulatory provisions. The Firm has also collaborated in some cases at the invitation of the Commission itself in different national and international forums to discuss individual cases and share experiences in this field ( such as the International Competition Network (ICN), the Economic Cooperation Forum Asia Pacific (APEC) and the International Bar Association (IBA). Firm partners are non-governmental advisors at the Federal Competition Commission in the International Competition Network (“ICN”).
Ledesma & Rodríguez Rivero has participated in various research procedures for monopolistic practices and prohibited concentrations as in the submission of amparo proceedings against the Federal Economic Competition Law, its regulations and acts of the Commission itself. On many occasions, it has been the own Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation responsible for solving various cases handled by the firm, some of which have formed Thesis of Jurisprudence and criteria for interpreting the law.
Since the creation of the first Federal Competition Commission, the partners of Ledesma & Rodríguez Rivero have had a broad and active participation in matters of consulting and litigation of Competition Law, so we have been recognized as experts in the field, by the forum and administrative and judicial authorities.

The firm also has vast experience in consulting and administrative and constitutional litigation. Its partners have participated as consultants of various governmental agencies for the development of strategies and conflict resolution with a high level of technical complexity and procedural.

BERNARDO CARLOS LEDESMA URIBE
Born in México city. Escuela Libre de Derecho (1971). Year of graduation: 1979. Thesis Topic: La desestimación de la personalidad jurídica” (awarded thesis and best of its year). Academic studies: Different courses in Tax Law, Administrative Law and Law of Economic Competition conducted by Escuela Libre de Derecho, the Mexican Bar, the Bar Association, among others. Affiliations: He has been Coordinator of the Commission on Constitutional Law and member of its Board and the Board of Honor of the Mexican Bar, Colegio de Abogados, A.C.

Has published several articles on the law of Economic Competition and Trade Law on companies. He is coauthor of the book “Competencia Económica. Estudios de Derecho, Economía y Política”, published by Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, and in the book tribute to Maestro Roberto Mantilla Molina, published by Editorial Porrúa. He has participated as a speaker at national and international forums, on Tax Law, Constitutional Law, Civil and Commercial Law, Amparo, Administrative Law and Law of Economic Competition in Mexico. Has been professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Escuela Libre de Derecho, Universidad Anáhuac and Universidad Panamericana, in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He has participated at the invitation of the Federal Economic Competition Commission, in multiple working groups of constitutional, legislative and regulatory analysis on Economic Competition. He has been named a specialist in Administrative Law and Law of Economic Competition in many international publications such as Chambers and Partners, Best Lawyers, Latin Lawyer. Non Governmental advisor to the Federal Competition Commission in the International Competition Network (ICN). He was partner of the firm Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa, S.C. (1983-2014) and is a founding member of the Firm Ledesma and Rodriguez Rivero, Abogados S.C. (2014).

LUIS MANUEL RODRÍGUEZ RIVERO
Born in Mexico City. Education: Universidad Iberoamericana (1990). Year of graduation: 1996. Thesis Topic: “La prueba superveniente en el juicio de amparo indirecto”. Postgraduate Studies in the field of Tax Law, Antitrust Law and Business Law at the Universidad Panamericana and the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.

Affiliations: He has been Coordinator of the Commission of Constitutional Law, sub-coordinator of the Commission on Administrative Law and member of the Board of the Mexican Bar, Colegio de Abogados, A.C., and member of the Board of the Association of Legal Services, A.C. (Pro bono) of the Mexican Bar.

He has published several articles on constitutional matters, Amparo and Law of Economic Competition. He is coauthor of the book “Competencia Económica. Estudios de Derecho, Economía y Política”, published by the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
